The Spotsylvania County Recruitment Coordinator launched a muli-agency (Chancellor Volunteer Fire & Rescue, Spotsylvania Volunteer Fire Department & Spotsylvania Volunteer Rescue) recuitment campaign in a effort to find individuals willing to volunteer their time as Firefighters, Emergency Medical Technicians, Medics or Administrative staff.

 In the spring of 2007, Chancellor Volunteer Fire & Rescue worked with the Spotsylvania County Recruitment Coordinator to launch a powerful TV, radio and newspaper campaign. The goal was to recruit interested volunteers for our continued 24 x 7 staffing demands to meet the needs of the citizens in our county.

The message of 2007 ... "Our volunteers are professionals within the organization, as well as our career jobs"

We hold the same professional certifications are our career brothers and sisters but we do it on a volunteer basis saving the taxpayers money.

If any of us has a medical emergency we count  on our emergency workers to respond in a timely fashion. One Spotsylvania County woman learned the hard way, that response doesn't always come the way we expect. Her personal experience has lead to major changes in her community.
