Sportsbooks and the NFL Sign Official Betting Deals

official betting

NFL football has become the last American sport to sign official betting deals with sportsbooks. The NFL recently announced three sportsbooks as official betting partners. The deal will give sportsbooks access to league statistics, allows them to promote their relationship with the league, and ties their brands to player stats. If the deal holds, the NFL will make nearly $1 billion from the deal over five years. If not, the NFL has the right to end it after three years.

While the NFL has the right to regulate betting, it may be undermining its own interests by allowing the sportsbooks to use proprietary data. The NFL also controls all video and data across all platforms, including official betting lines. In light of this, Blonk says it’s “unfair” for the NFL to veto any changes in how sportsbooks offer their products. Genius is the new owner of NFL official betting lines and has a 5% stake in the company.

NASCAR

NASCAR’s Managing Director of Sports Betting, Joseph Solosky, took the reins in March. He and his team have a goal of maximizing the amount of money wagered on NASCAR events. This isn’t easy; many of NASCAR’s fans have never placed a wager on a stock car race. The challenge is to convert stick-and-ball sports fans into racing fans.

PGA TOUR

Following the recent Supreme Court decision that legalized sports betting in many U.S. states, the PGA Tour is allowing sportsbooks to offer official betting on the PGA Tour. This partnership has already increased the amount of money wagered with its official betting operators by about 50 percent over 2020. Moreover, bettors have been able to see a marked increase in the number of wagers and markets available, indicating that further growth is almost inevitable.

Indianapolis Motor Speedway

Caesars Sportsbook is the new official sports betting partner of the Indianapolis 500. In addition to being the official sports betting partner of the Indy 500, Caesars will also sponsor the remaining races on the IMS calendar through 2022, including the GMR Grand Prix. The company has also committed to opening its first Indianapolis Motor Speedway betting lounge. This partnership is a win-win for the Speedway and its fans.

FIH

A new partnership between the International Hockey Federation and Sportsradar could help ensure the integrity of competitions in international hockey. The deal will see BetCity promote its brand during FIH Hockey Pro League games, beginning in Nijmegen in May. The two organizations will collaborate through their respective sports betting data providers to provide data on sports betting. The partnership will also help protect the FIH from risk and fraud. In addition to monitoring sports betting activities, the partnership will involve education and prevention workshops.
