Chancellor Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department, in conjunction with the University of Mary Washington is proud to present the area’s first leadership academy designed specifically for fire and rescue members.
Mr. Ray Gill, a credentialed and seasoned training professional, will lead the class. Mr. Gill is widely recognized for his extensive experience conducting management development workshops for private-, public-, and non-profit sector organizations.
Classes are designed around a series of topics which include understanding yourself and others, communication skills for the workplace, essentials of supervision, legal compliance, motivating work teams and dealing with generational differences in teams.
Individuals attending all six workshops will receive a certificate of completion and earn 21 continuing education contact hours from the University of Mary Washington.
Enrollment is limited to 20 persons.
CVFR, Spotsylvania Volunteer Fire and Spotsylvania Volunteer Rescue members attend free of charge. All others - $150.00 non refundable course fee.
Classes will meet on the following Mondays from 6:00pm-10:00pm each date at Salem Fields Community Church, 11120 Gordon Road (Spotsylvania County), Fredericksburg VA 22407
