1. If you are dispatched for a call while on the air please give the location you are responding from. If you know your closer to the incident then the dispatched company please take the call and advise dispatch, this will ensure or customers are getting the closest and quickest care possible.
2. Reminder; Squads are to marked up as Squad, and not Rescue Squad or Rescue.
3. Any time units are marking staffed, unstaffed, in or out at the ER or quarters please ensure you are getting an acknowledgment from the communications center.
4. The radio traffic on the incident channel while responding to a call should be keep to a minimum so the first due units can give a complete and accurate on scene report, missing this information or a delay in this information could create unsafe conditions to responding units upon their arrival.
5. Please have crews review Section 5 (Common Terminology ) in the Firefighting and Emergency Operations Procedural Guidelines Manual. Every station should have this manual available for review.
